Siddh Sheth called the meeting to order at 6:01p.m.

Approval of Minutes - RHGYC Regular Meeting - January 8, 2025

A motion was made by Blakeley, seconded by Giri, that this matter be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

Hayes, Otlewski, Pizzuti, Sheth, Sinha, Woo, Yoon, Deel, Deel, Giri, Qadri, Blakeley, DiGrande, Olvera Garcia, Joshi and Wang

Resolved, that the Minutes of the Rochester Hills Government Youth Council Regular Meeting held on January 8, 2025 to be approved as presented. 

Dais Update from Sasha:

-Applications for public projects to go out soon

-Payments approved for daycare

-Updates from State Representative Tisdel

-Purchase authorizations for safety plans

Dais Update from Isabella:

-Condominium approved

-Ice Skating at Innovation Hills and Spencer Park

-Resiliency Center of Rochester Hills opened

-Acceptance of Grant for Fish and Wildlife protection

Details finalized for Legislative Fay on Tuesday, February 18

-Booked Hall of Justice Tour

-Tour of Supreme Court Chambers

-We will met with Midwest lobbyists, Senator Webber and State Rep. Tisdel

- Leaving at 8:30am with details to follow

Recap on the Social Reset Event

-72 people in attendance

-Will work on increasing advertising in the future

-People took away great information from this event

-Raffle was successful and about 30 people entered to win

-We should try to improve background noise

-Event was good from city's perspective

-2025 Cultural Fair will take place Saturday, April 26 at Rochester Christian University's Garth Pleasant Arena

-River Cleanup Day for the Clinton River Watershed Council will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2025

-Elections for the 2025 second term officers.

Election of the 2025 RHGYC Chairperson

Resolved, that the Rochester Hills Government Youth Council hereby confirms the election of Eliza Pizzuti to serve as the chairperson for a term to expire in September 2025.
