CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Carvey called the Green Space Advisory Board meeting to order at 7:02 PM.

COMMUNICATIONS
Members received invitations from the Sierra Club to work shops and films being held at 
Oakland University each Wednesday for the next six months focusing on ways to protect 
the local waterways.
 
It was also noted that the Tocco property transfer is complete but needs to be recorded 
at Oakland County.  Chairperson Carvey will contact Mayor Barnett to discuss a way to 
recognize the Tocco family for their property donation to the City.

Discussion on Green Space activities in Oakland Township, Mindy Milos-Dale, Parks 
Director
Chairperson Carvey introduced Ms. Mindy Milos-Dale, Parks Director for Oakland 
Township.
 
Ms. Milos-Dale conducted an informative discussion regarding stewardship.  Oakland 
Township is able to use millage funds to perform stewardship.  They have also been very 
successful with grants from the Michigan Natural Resource Trust Fund and are willing to 
work with GSAB to benefit both Oakland Township and Rochester Hills.  Mr. Hartner 
could start discussions with Oakland Township's attorney and Mr. Staran, attorney for the 
City of Rochester Hills, to explore the different views of the millage language with regard 
to stewardship. 
 
The Board members thanked Ms. Milos-Dale for her input.

The 2007-2008 work plan was discussed and adopted by consensus. 
Resolved that the Green Space Advisory Board request that the City's 
Administration move forward and contact the three (3) property owners, namely 
White, Harding Estate, and Rochdale to inquire if they would now have an 
interest in nominating their properties for Green Space acquisition.
A motion was made by  Gauthier, seconded by  Robinson, that this matter be 
Approved.  The motion carried by the following vote:
