| Mr. Paul Samartino, lead architect and designer, Mr. Mark Russell, of Russell |
| Design and Landscape, and Mr. Tom Wujczyk, the builder, came forward and |
| introduced themselves. Mr. Samartino explained the original approval was |
| conditioned that any additional design or changes had to return for HDC |
| approval. Now that the house is built, the owner, builder and landscaper were |
| able to get a better feel for the house on the site. They have spent the last three |
| months tweaking what was already designed and approved. The number of |
| trees had to be adjusted purely for design and function, as Mr. Russell will later |
| explain. Mr. Samartino explained he's added an accessory structure, two entry |
| gates off Washington Road and a few other improvements. Late last year, Mr. |
| Samartino noted he met with Messrs. Anzek and Breuckman to talk about what |
| was being planned. Recommendations were made and incorporated into the |
| revised plans being reviewed tonight. Mr. Samartino displayed a rendering of |
| the gates and indicated they will be located approximately 40 feet from the roads |
| edge which is 20 feet from the right-of-way edge, and will be protected from view. |
| The stone on the seven foot tall tapered columns will match the house. The |
| gate itself will taper down in the center. They are proposed to be build out of |
| timbers with see-through wrought iron detailing. The reason for gates is for the |
| owner to direct guests which entrance to use; they are not to keep people out. |
| The accessory structure is proposed for the northwest portion of the site. This |
| will open views to the property and the pond. The pavilion-like structure will have |
| similar characteristics of the home with timber posts. It will be open air and |
| include a fireplace with some seating, a half-bath and possibly a small bar area. |
| The foundation will sit seven feet below the walk-out grade of the house and is |
| proposed at a 15.6 foot height. In lieu of a pool, this is more of a destination for |
| entertaining. A babbling water feature is also proposed for this area. The |
| existing covered dock structure on the site will be cleaned up and re-roofed with |
| cedar to match the house. The proposed generator will be screened. |
