CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Carvey called the Green Space Advisory Board meeting to order at 7:01 PM.

Others Present:  Melinda Hill, Laura Douglas, Andy Krupp, Dahlvin Peterson
 
Committee Members Gauthier, Windscheif and Moore provided previous notice they would 
be unable to attend and asked to be excused.
 
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
None were presented.
COMMUNICATIONS
None.
PUBLIC COMMENT
The Board discussed increasing the voting membership from seven (7) to nine (9) 
members.  A motion made by Funk, seconded by Wallace suggesting GSAB write a 
letter to the City Council to encourage the expansion of voting membership to nine (9) and 
appoint Loebs, McGoldrick and Peterson.  The motion passed 5 to 0.

Member Funk presented a draft work plan for 2008.   All members are requested to 
review the draft document and forward their comments to Mr. Funk with the next two 
weeks so that the revised draft can be discussed at the January GSAB meeting.
 
The Board also discussed the scope of responsibilities outlined in the Bylaws and Rules 
of Procedure, in particular Article III: Objectives, and Article IV: Scope of Authority 
relative to recommendations that might be made to City Council regarding the expansion 
of GSAB responsibilities.

Whereas, the Green Space Advisory Board (GSAB) has had several discussions 
regarding formulating a work plan to provide direction for activies carried out by 
sub-committees to achieve goals during the year;
 
Resolved that GSAB approves the proposed 2008 Work Plan and will recommend approval 
to City Council.

noted that all four (4) parcels were combined into a single rating of 86.

The Board reviewed and acknowledged the letter sent to the owner of the Rochdale 
property.

NEW BUSINESS
None was presented.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Mr. Kurt Dawson, Assessor/Treasurer, informed the Board that the closing on the Smitha 
property will take place on December 20, 2007.
 
Members Robinson and Funk suggested to coordinate information regarding the 
importance of green space in the community with Member Oriet, Youth Representative.  
Mr. Oriet could then provide the information to the Rochester Hills Government Youth 
Council in hopes to educate students at local schools.

There being no further business to discuss, Chairperson Carvey adjourned the meeting at 
8:30 PM.
