Cathy Fitzpatrick mentioned that Museum Archivist, Samantha Lawrence was recognized with a Colleague Champion award through the Michigan Museum Association. Fitzpatrick discussed two new chairs that were donated by Alice Serrell's great niece. Fitzpatrick also discussed the new collection database, called Luna that the Museum is using in collaboration with the Rochester Hills Public Library.

Cathy Fitzpatrick discussed the seasonal staff headed back to college at the end of the summer. She also mentioned the three boardwalks across the mill race being completed. The drinking fountain was replaced as well as the light fixtures and the audio-visual upgrade in the calf barn. We also replaced the front door at the schoolhouse.

Cathy Fitzpatrick gave an update on the project. They have been meeting with A3C Architects and they are making progress. Pat McKay will give a full report at the November meeting.

Cathy Fitzpatrick discussed America 250 celebration. We are following the lead of the American Association of State and Local History. That group has been acquiring federal grants and distributing them at the state level. Fitzpatrick discussed speaking with Nancy Salvia, mayor of Rochester and Marianne McCauley at OPC. We are looking to host an event in September as part of the celebrations. Discussion ensued.

Cathy Fitzpatrick discussed the fall programs and collaborations. They made a change to their scarecrow program this year with the scarecrows remaining on display at the Museum through Halloween.

Suzanne Wiggins discussed the meeting time going forward. Discussion ensued. General consensus is that 7:30 am works for everyone.
