Water System Advisory Council Upcoming Rate Year Discussion

Resolved, that the Water System Advisory Council (WSAC) adopted the following Resolution at the May 1, 2024 meeting:

Whereas, the Water System Advisory Council supports the concept that expenses of the water and sanity sewer system must be supported by revenue from the users of the system and,
Whereas, the Water System Advisory Council supports the methodology for calculation of water and sanitary sewer rates and charges that reflect the direct and indirect costs of the water and sanitary sewer system consistent with industry guidance and to generate Water & Sanitary Sewer Fund revenues that meet respective system revenue requirements;
Therefore, be it resolved, that the Water System Advisory Council recommends the rates as presented to the committee known as Option # ____/________ Rate Change.
The Water System Advisory Council further recommends that the City Council adopt the water and sewer rates for the billing period July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 as recommended by the Water System Advisory Council.
