In Recognition of Nancy Butty for being selected a 2009 Outstanding Employee
 
Body
Whereas, Nancy Butty is not only the Fire Department's Public Education Specialist, she is also a Paid-on-Call Lieutenant assigned to Fire Station 2; and
Whereas, in her role as Public Education Specialist, Nancy is responsible for all Fire Prevention programs including station tours, school  safety programs, home fire safety, Fire Prevention Week, CPR classes, Citizen Emergency Response Team training, Sound the Alarm program, and home fire safety; and  
 
Whereas, in 2009, Nancy visited 123 classrooms and taught fire safety to over 3000 of the city's children. She has also instructed over 400 seniors about fall prevention, and coordinated and/or installed 155 child safety seats; and
 
Whereas, Nancy is responsible for over 10,000 adults, seniors, and children receiving some type of health, safety and welfare education so far this year; and
 
Whereas, Nancy performs all of her duties professionally and enthusiastically. She is a stellar employee, a tireless fire safety advocate and an outstanding representative of the Rochester Hills Fire Department.  
 
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that I, Bryan K. Barnett, Mayor of Rochester Hills hereby congratulate Nancy Butty on being selected a 2009 Outstanding Employee, and thank her for her hard work and dedication to the City of Rochester Hills.
