Proclamation in Recognition of the Rochester Falcons 2008 Girls Golf Division 1 State Champions

Whereas, The Rochester Girls Golf Team captured the 2008 Division 1 State Championship; and
Whereas, The Rochester Falcons nine-member team came to the State Finals as the #1 ranked team in the state. On the first day of the two-day tournament, the girls overall total score for a 36 hole round was 296 which broke the state record. The second day, the girls overall total score was 311 which gave them a two-day total score of 607, not only placing them 55 strokes ahead of the 2nd place team but also setting a new state record.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rochester Hills hereby express our admiration for the teamwork, commitment, cooperation and talent of the Rochester High 2008 Girls Golf Division 1 State Champions, and applaud the professionalism and dedication of their coaching staff; and
Be It Further Resolved, that on behalf of the Citizens of Rochester Hills, we express our pride in the accomplishments of the following athletes and coach:
