Proclamation in Recognition of Eagle Scout Josh Bertolet for his outstanding achievement in developing, implementing, and completing his Eagle Scout project at Veterans Memorial Pointe

Boy Scout Josh Bertolet of Rochester Hills Troop 123, attained the rank of Eagle Scout by executing a major service project at Veterans Memorial Pointe. His project involved clearing and removing the logjams that were causing flooding problems. Josh developed a plan to have his fellow scouts assist him in cutting and splitting the wood. They also sold the wood to purchase supplies and equipment for their troop.
The scouts did a great service to the City of Rochester Hills by clearing out the downed trees and preventing further flooding at Veterans Memorial Pointe. The troop worked very hard and did an outstanding job.
Whereas, Josh Bertolet is dedicated and committed to serving in the Boy Scouts of America, an organization that gives young men opportunities to participate in helping their community; and
Whereas, through his efforts in this exceptional service project, Josh Bertolet has added to the ongoing beauty and honor of Veterans Memorial Pointe.
Now, Therefore, be it Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rochester Hills hereby recognize Josh Bertolet for his outstanding achievement in developing, implementing, and completing his Eagle Scout project at Veterans Memorial Pointe.
