Title
In Recognition of Deborah Happy for being selected a 2012 Outstanding Employee

Body
Whereas, Deborah Happy has served the Fire Department for 23 years as Office Administrator and Secretary to three former Fire Chiefs as well as Chief Ron Crowell.  Debbie has a great talent for planning and organizing many events for the Fire Department; and

Whereas, Debbie has organized the Fire Department's annual Ride for a Cause for several years. In June, more than 80 motorcyclists participated in this ride and raised almost $4,000.00 to benefit the Relay for Life. Weeks prior to the event, Debbie visited dozens of Rochester Hills businesses for donations for raffle prizes. She also helped coordinate preparations for the dedication of the 911 Memorial in front of Station 1; and

Whereas, Debbie knows what it takes to make the Fire Department run smoothly. She never seeks any credit or attention for what she does because she knows there is no "I" in team.  She is very much like an "Administrative Coach", working behind the scenes, but very much on the front line; and

Whereas, known for her patience, professionalism, flexibility and kindness, Debbie is deserving of recognition as an outstanding employee.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that I, Bryan K. Barnett, Mayor of Rochester Hills hereby congratulate Deborah Happy on being selected as one of the 2012 Outstanding Employees, and express my thanks for her hard work, skill and dedication to the City of Rochester Hills.
