Proclamation in Recognition of Eagle Scout Matthew Schlitters

Whereas, young men, who master scouting skills, dedicate their efforts to upholding the Boy Scout Pledge, and serve their community with honor, can attain the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting; and
Whereas, Matthew Schlitters is a member of Boy Scout Troop 298 and completed his Eagle Scout Project at Veterans Memorial Pointe; and
Whereas, Matthew inventoried the 3,500 bricks that have been engraved and installed at Veterans Memorial Pointe. Because of his hard work, this information will now be available on the city website for the first time. This project will mean so much to those who are looking for their loved ones' bricks at Veterans Memorial Pointe.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Rochester Hills proudly recognize Eagle Scout, Matthew Schlitters, and express gratitude for all of his hard work and offer our best wishes for his future success.
