Proclamation in Recognition of Jack Sage, American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) 2018 Officer of the Year

Whereas, Jack Sage has dedicated 40 years to the law enforcement profession, including seven years as a Detroit police officer, 32 years as an Ordinance Inspector for the City of Rochester Hills, 15 years as the North Oakland Hazardous Waste Program Coordinator, six years as a board member with the Michigan Association of Code Enforcement Officers (MACEO), and has removed an estimated 30,000 signs from the right-of-way thus far in his career; and
Whereas, Jack is widely respected among district court judges, residents and fellow employees, setting himself apart from his peers across the country by the caring, helpful, and professional way he performs one of the most difficult and challenging jobs in the City; and
Whereas, recognizing his extraordinary expertise and professionalism, the American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) selected our own Jack Sage as the 2018 Officer of the Year, AACE’s most prestigious and coveted award.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Rochester Hills hereby congratulate Jack Sage on rising to the top of his profession and earning this distinguished national-level award.
Be It Further Resolved, that we acknowledge, with great pride and appreciation, that Jack serves the City of Rochester Hills with superior knowledge and compassion. We commend him for his commitment to excellence and outstanding representation of our city.
