Request to Waive the Special Meeting Fee for Baez Enterprises, Inc.

Whereas, according to the Rochester Hills Code of Ordinances, Chapter 54 Fees, Section 54-41 Meeting Rates: Meeting rates for "special meeting requests" shall be as follows:
(1) City Council, per meeting . . . . . . . . . . . $1,000; and
Whereas, the Special Meeting Fee is charged to any individual or organization requesting that a City Council meeting be held outside of Council's set meeting schedule; and
Whereas, this fee is intended to cover expenses incurred by City staff and Council members to conduct an additional, unanticipated meeting; and
Whereas, the meeting being requested by Baez Enterprises, Inc. to consider the transfer of a 2005 Class C License with Dance-Entertainment Permit from HR Restaurants, LLC, is to be held immediately prior to a regularly scheduled City Council Work Session and, thus, there is no discernible added expense for conducting this Special Meeting.
Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Rochester Hills City Council hereby concurs with the recommendation of the Administration & Information Services Committee to Waive the $1,000 Special Meeting Fee to be charged to Baez Enterprises, Inc. to consider the transfer of a 2005 Class C License with Dance-Entertainment Permit located at 2086 and 2210 Crooks Road, Rochester Hills, Oakland County, Michigan 48309 from HR Restaurants, LLC.
