Title
In Recognition of Patrick McKay for being selected a 2012 Outstanding Employee
Body
Whereas, regardless of his title or what job he is performing, Patrick McKay works tirelessly to get a job done! He has endless energy that Pat puts into his job during his long work hours; and
Whereas, Pat is involved in many community events. Some examples are the Wet and Wild Wednesday at the Museum. He literally does not take any vacations in the month of July to ensure the Wet and Wild Wednesdays run smoothly. Another successful example of his efforts is the annual Pumpkin Festival. The sheer number of attendees speaks volumes to the success of the event and Pat's hard work; and
Whereas, the detail and work Pat puts into weddings at the Museum certainly makes a very memorable day for the families. In everything he does, Pat acts as an ambassador of the city; and
Whereas, Pat puts the same great effort into the Fire Department as Paid-on-Call Captain at Station 5. He builds a rapport with the fire fighters that absolutely contributes to making it a positive work environment. He welcomes new personnel and challenges seasoned staff to better themselves as fire fighters. He has left family gatherings for the call of duty, and he does this unselfishly without thinking about it twice; and
Whereas, when faced with financial challenges that our community recently endured, Pat was the individual in the group who looked at the challenges and developed ways to get the job done with less funding. He is relentless with efforts to make the Museum, Fire Department and City of Rochester Hills the very best it can be!
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that I, Bryan K. Barnett, Mayor of Rochester Hills hereby congratulate Patrick McKay on being selected as one of the 2012 Outstanding Employees, and express my thanks for his hard work and dedication to the City of Rochester Hills.
