Proclamation in Recognition of Eagle Scout Matthew Fergle
Body
Whereas, Matt is an outstanding young man and student at Adams High School and is in his sophomore year; and
Whereas, Matt exhibits great character in his involvement in many extracurricular activities, including the Boy Scouts, which he has been a part of for nine years and is currently with Van Hoosen Middle School Troop 101; and
Whereas, in pursuit of his Eagle Scout ranking, Matt chose to assist the Rochester Hills based non-profit, God's Helping Hands with collecting school supplies and backpacks for children of need; and
Whereas, Matt committed to preparing one hundred backpacks filled with school supplies and raised the funds to do so. Matt then delivered the stuffed backpacks to the organization and helped distribute them.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Rochester Hills proudly recognize Eagle Scout, Matt Fergle, and express gratitude for all of his hard work in fundraising and filling one hundred backpacks with school supplies for children in our community.
