Request for Purchase Authorization - DPS: Cost Participation Agreements with the Road Commission for Oakland County, contract/blanket purchase order not-to-exceed $158,500.00 for road right-of-way acquisition on Crooks Road (South Boulevard to Auburn Road) and $225,000.00 for road right-of-way acquisition for Crooks Road (Auburn Road to Hamlin Road) for a not-to-exceed total of $383,500.00; Road Commission for Oakland County, Beverly Hills, MI

Whereas, The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has prepared two (2) Cost Participation Agreements between the Board of Road Commissioners for the County of Oakland and the City of Rochester Hills for Right of Way for Crooks Road (South Boulevard to Auburn Road); and (Auburn Road to Hamlin Road); and
Whereas, acquisition costs for both road segments were approved under the Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF), Category C Program; and
Whereas, RCOC will complete the Right of Way acquisition within Rochester Hills at an estimated cost of $1,585,000.00 and $2,250,000.00, respectively; and
Whereas, the City's local match is estimated to be ten percent (10%) at $158,500.00 and $225,000.00, respectively; and
Whereas, the Department of Public Service recommends approval of both Cost Participation Agreements; and
Now Therefore Be It Resolved That the Rochester Hills City Council approves two (2) Cost Participation Agreements between the Board of Road Commissioners for the County of Oakland and the City of Rochester Hills for Right of Way for Crooks Road (South Boulevard to Auburn Road) and (Auburn Road to Hamlin Road) and authorizes the Mayor to execute the Agreements on behalf of the City.
