Request for Purchase Authorization - DPS/Engineering, purchase order not-to-exceed $20,000.00 for the design of street lighting for the Crooks Road Boulevard Project from South Boulevard to M-59; Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc., Pontiac, MI

Body
Whereas, at the March 31, 2004 City Council work session, Council members requested additional information regarding the design for street lighting along Crooks Road from South Boulevard to M-59.

Whereas, a proposal was requested from Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc., a quality based selected consulting engineering firm for the City to prepare the design plans and special provisions that would be included in the Road Commission for Oakland County bid documents for the length of the proposed boulevard that is located solely in the City of Rochester Hills.

Whereas, the Road Commission for Oakland County has agreed to provide conduits to allow the installation of street lighting at a later date without the necessity of damaging the road.

Resolved that the City Council of Rochester Hills has determined that the City will no longer pursue incorporating a street lighting design along Crooks Road from South Boulevard to M-59 as part of the County's road reconstruction project to be bid this fall.
