Proclamation in Recognition of Darlene Janulis

Whereas, on the occasion of her retirement from serving the City of Rochester Hills as a board, committee and commission member and leader, the Mayor and City Council wish to express their appreciation to Darlene Janulis for her long-standing dedication and service to the City of Rochester Hills; and
Whereas, Darlene has been actively giving back to the community she loves for years, serving in countless capacities, with a long history of supporting and creating programs, groups and events to meet needs and foster opportunities; and
Whereas, her current commitments include serving on the Local Development Finance Authority, Green Space Advisory Board, Historic Districts Commission, Historic Districts Study Committee and Naming Standing Committee; and
Whereas, Darlene’s professional experience, community knowledge, progressive thinking, positive attitude, attention to detail and passion for local government have all made her a valuable asset on every board, committee and commission on which she has served as she has helped to advance the mission and fulfill the purpose of each board; and
Whereas, Darlene, known for her infectious laugh, is a true champion for the City of Rochester Hills, always making sure decisions made are in the best interest of the city, and we are incredibly grateful for the profound commitment of time, treasure and talent she has given to benefit our community.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rochester Hills hereby recognize and thank Darlene Janulis for her labor of love serving for decades on multiple boards, committees and commissions, all for the betterment of the City of Rochester Hills.
