Einheuser updated the committee on the Yates cutoff channel. The channel will be blocked and the water will hopefully flow off the damn. The city has worked with the DNR, US Fish & Wildlife Service, DEQ and CRWC. Discussion ensued.
Einheuser mentioned the Outdoor Engagement River Float. Members Morris and Janulis attended and had a great time.
The phragmites program has 4 new applications.

Matt Einheuser mentioned they wouldn't take funds out of the principal. Einheuser would use funds set aside for grant matching and use that for a project like this. Chairperson Janulis said they had 2 funds at one point and now there is just one. Janulis does not want to use the principal for projects or land. Dr. Bowyer mentioned that the original millage was to buy and protect properties. Then it was changed to be able to do maintenance on the properties as well. Discussion ensued.

Matt Einheuser mentioned Second Saturdays, the will hold off till fall.
Chairperson Janulis suggested cancelling the next meeting and do a tour of some of the properties Cardno has been working on. Einheuser said due to the order they are not able to have face-to-face meetings.
