Resolved, that the Minutes of the July 25, 2017 Regular Meeting of the Green Space Advisory Board are approved as presented.

Lance DeVoe told the board that Niswander has finished their third treatment of phragmites. This included Innovation Hills, museum, Borden, Spencer, Crooks & Hamlin, all of the green space and park locations that the phragmites were still showing up. Innovation Hills will be ongoing but it has been eradicated at most locations.
DeVoe discussed the Ruby property evaluation from Niswander. Member Janulis requested that Council Member Bowyer share the Ruby evaluation with the City Council. Bowyer suggested getting scouts involved, digging out some of the invasive species. Bowyer also suggested installing a few bat houses. DeVoe mentioned that they will be demoing the house on the Ruby property.

Review of Stewardship Project Fiscal Analysis
Attachments:
Lance DeVoe discussed the Stewardship Project Fiscal Analysis. The numbers are a work in progress as we continue to receive invoices from Niswander. Discussion ensued.
Member Janulis suggested having more columns in the spreadsheet to increase clarity. Members would like the data broken out by project and by year. Member Beightol marked up a sample of what they would like the analysis to look like.
The general consensus of the group is that the spreadsheets need to be revised to make the data easier to understand. They will be worked on and discussed at the next meeting.

Green Space Property Signage Discussion
Member Janulis would like to see signage at all the green space properties so that people know that the properties are green space, not abandoned lands or dumping grounds.
Lance DeVoe mentioned that White and Harding do have signs, they are brown signs with yellow writing and are posted around the property boundary.
Member Graves would like to see signs that are for the entrance, not necessarily for boundaries. He would like to see informational signs at the main entrances.
Member Boyd suggested having a sign format that is consistent for all the parks so that it is recognizable as a Green Space sign.
Member Morris said that the signs should have a notice that people are welcome to enter the green space.
Discussion ensued.
Council Member Bowyer will create some sample signs for the next meeting.

Chairperson Peterson suggested walking one of the properties because there are new members that have not participated in any walk-throughs. Council Member Bowyer suggested walking the Ruby property.
The board decided to walk the Ruby property on Thursday October 12th at 5:30, meeting at City Hall.
Member Boyd brought up the Discovery Walk for 2018. She suggested advertising in the local high school newsletters and getting the word out to high school eco-clubs. Member Graves mentioned having the walk at Harding again so that changes and improvements can be shown to people that have participated in the past. Discussion ensued.
