Chairperson Stephen McGarry called the Special Meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. in Conference Room 221.

Quorum present.

                        Joe Snyder, CFO, Finance Department

                        Maureen Gentry, Secretary

December 3, 2015 Special Meeting

Hearing no comments or objections, Chairperson McGarry called for a vote.

A motion was made  that this matter be Approved as Presented. The motion carried by the following vote:

Handout prepared by Ms. Gentry regarding residential and commercial developments in the City in 2016.

Request for Election of Officers for 2017 - Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer for a one-year term.

NOMINATION by Dawson, seconded by Turnbull, that the Rochester Hills Brownfield Redevelopment Authority appoints Joe Snyder to serve as its Treasurer for the year 2017.

MOTION by Chalmers, seconded by Stanley, the Rochester Hills Brownfield Redevelopment Authority hereby re-appoints the current slate of Officers to serve as Chairperson (Stephen McGarry), Vice Chairperson (Thomas Turnbull), Secretary (Planning and Development Department Staff) and appoints Joe Snyder as Treasurer for the year 2017.

A motion was made by Chalmers, seconded by Stanley, that this matter be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

Request for Approval of the 2017 Brownfield Redevelopment Authority Meeting Schedule

MOTION by Brown, seconded by Turnbull, the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority hereby approves the 2017 meeting schedule at its October 27, 2016 Special Meeting, consisting of four quarterly meetings to be held on January 19, 2017, April 20, 2017, July 20, 2017 and October 19, 2017, and acknowledges that Special Meetings may be scheduled throughout the year if necessary.

A motion was made by Brown, seconded by Turnbull, that this matter be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

After each motion, Chairperson McGarry stated for the record that the motion had passed unanimously.

Mr. Brown said that unless there was an objection, he would plan to be 

re-appointed as the City Council representative to the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority for next year.  There was no further business to come before the BRA Board.

Chairperson McGarry reminded the BRA Board that the next Regular Meeting was scheduled for January 19, 2017.

Hearing no further business to come before the Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Chairperson McGarry adjourned the Special Meeting at 7:15 p.m.
