Request for approval to extend three (3) GSAB membership terms to December 31, 2012
Body
Whereas, the Rochester Hills City Council expanded the Green Space Advisory Board (GSAB) from seven (7) to nine (9) voting members at the January 7, 2008 City Council Meeting resulting in six (6) terms to expire December 31, 2010; and
Whereas, City Council concurred with GSAB's recommendation to stagger terms on a three (3) year basis for better uniformity and continuity over the life of the GSAB millage by adopting RES0349-2008 at the November 10, 2008 City Council Meeting; and
Whereas, GSAB members have discussed their preferences regarding which three (3) membership terms should be extended to December 31, 2012 and which three (3) membership terms should be allowed to expire as originally scheduled for December 31, 2010;
Now Therefore Be It Resolved, that City Council concurs with GSAB's recommendation to extend the expiration date of three (3) membership terms to December 31, 2012 for Paul Funk, Lorraine McGoldrick and William Windscheif; and
Further Resolved, that City Council concurs with GSAB's recommendation to allow three (3) membership terms to expire as originally scheduled for December 31, 2010, with the opportunity to reapply for appointment, for Lynn Loebs, Dahlvin Peterson and Linda Raschke.
