Proclamation in Recognition of the Purchasing Department for earning the Achievement of Excellence of Procurement Award for the sixteenth consecutive year

Whereas, the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) recognizes organizational excellence in public and non-profit procurement; and
Whereas, the AEP is sponsored by the National Procurement Institute along with seven additional highly reputable procurement associations located throughout North America; and
Whereas, the continuously evolving AEP award criteria are designed to measure state of the art in public procurement best practices, including innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes of the procurement function; and
Whereas, the City of Rochester Hills was one of only two agencies in Michigan and one of only 67 cities in the United States and Canada to receive this year’s Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award; and
Whereas, 2019 marks the sixteenth consecutive year the City of Rochester Hills has earned this prestigious and well-deserved award.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rochester Hills hereby recognize the Purchasing Department for their commitment to excellence in procurement and congratulate them on 16 years of earning the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award.
