Proclamation in Recognition of Eagle Scout Zachary Brown

Whereas, Young men, who master scouting skills, dedicate their efforts to upholding the Boy Scout Pledge, and serve their community with honor, can attain the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting; and
Whereas, On May 6, 2018, Zachary Brown of Rochester Boy Scout Troop 125 completed all necessary requirements to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Serving as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Fire and Knives Instructor, Scribe, and Troop Guide, Zach has honorably represented his Troop, his family, and his community all throughout his Boy Scout journey and will continue to serve as an active member; and
Whereas, Zach displayed his service and leadership abilities by repairing and upgrading the service counter at the VFW Post 4659 in Shelby Township. Improvements included carpet removal, wall repair, a tile border, counter upgrades, and construction of a pillar to conceal pipes. He planned the project, coordinated volunteers, and raised over $1800 in funds to implement and complete this extensive beautification project.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rochester Hills hereby congratulate Zachary Brown on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and offer their best wishes for his future success in all his future endeavors.
