Proclamation in Recognition of Eagle Scout Andrew Gordon

Whereas, young men, who master scouting skills, dedicate their efforts to upholding the Boy Scout Pledge, and serve their community with honor, can attain the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Scouting; and
Whereas, Andrew Gordon is a member of Boy Scout Troop 123 and completed his Eagle Scout Project at Veterans Memorial Pointe; and
Whereas, Andrew’s Eagle Scout project involved building and installing three benches. In addition to this, he built and installed an engraved wooden map that displays the Clinton River. Andrew also improved the visual aesthetics of the park by providing landscaping around these new amenities. Walkers, bikers, kayakers, and all those that go to reflect on the sacrifices of our veterans will benefit from his hard work.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Rochester Hills proudly recognize Eagle Scout, Andrew Gordon, and express gratitude for all of his hard work and offer our best wishes for his future success.
